Since 1976, Pekar’s homegrown autobiographical comic book series, American Splendor, has found him puzzling, fuming, and marveling over the microscopic details of his day-to-day existence. Based on Pekar’s comic book series American Splendor and the comic book Our Cancer Year by Harvey Pekar and Joyce Brabner, HBO brings Pekar's story to screen in the narrative feature, AMERICAN SPLENDOR.
