Bangkok--9 May--Krungthai Card
“KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited is on its most significant facelift ever —the “Smart Office”. With “Creative Organization” concept as the pillar of this makeover, KTC aims to create a new working lifestyle which makes do without conventional boundaries of posts and departments and at the same time gears towards a paperless operation with the use of modern IT systems. The set up will offer more space for discussions as well as “relaxation corner”, further lending greater inspirations to the think tank at work so they can become more capable at developing more innovative products and services to fulfill particular requirements of the different lifestyle groups. The ultimate goals of this concerted effort are to reinforce KTC’s corporate image of being the pioneering Thai financial institution that never ceases to evolve, and, to become the preferred brand of Thai people.
Mr. Niwatt Chittalarn, President and Chief Executive Officer, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited elaborated on this makeover “It is our goal to further develop our organization on the basis of creativity and innovativeness. Each and every employee of ours is inspired and encouraged to think outside of the box and improve the organization, products and services with their ideas. As lifestyles become more varied and as the number of choices multiply, we need to work harder and intelligently so in order to upgrade and add value to products and services”.
“The three core elements of becoming a creative organization are New Working Lifestyle, No Boundary and Relaxation. To inspire creativity, we break the conventional boundaries and give people the much needed intellectual freedom. They will lead the new working lifestyle by picking desk and zone of their choice and instantly become connected to telephones and the Internet through Wi Fi LAN network. A single employee card will allow them to login to the intelligent system, work and stay connected to people inside and outside of the organization.”
“We are also the first financial institution to adopt “paperless” operation and reduce dependency on papers. I would like to think that this is a great challenge. Financial institutions typically keep countless documents for references. By going digital, we do not only cut down on the use of paper and storage space but also simplify searches.
“Our new offices are designed with the “No Boundary” concept which maximizes open space for discussions and lower the number of desks. We believe that face-to-face conversations help promote better relationships and give everyone the human touch. The free-seating system allows everyone to sit where they want. There is no discretion between executives and employees nor are there physical locations for different departments. With the sense of belongings removed, employees are at liberty of engaging in conversations with colleagues from different departments and develop new ideas in the process. This “No Boundary” concept promotes KTC Unity as well. It reminds all employees that they are a part of KTC no matter what their department may be.”
“Lastly, we aim to become a full-fledged creative organization. To this end we have included a “Relaxation” corner to enliven working environment and ease the stress built by hours of work. Employees can visit the corner at any time including working hours. There will be massage corner with comfy massage chairs, game room with pools and hockey, and, study room where one can get away from the flurry of activities or conduct inter-department conferences.”
“This Smart Office makeover is a part of the strategy to maintain our status as the preferred financial institution. I personally believe that this is the beginning of something great. KTC will be able to introduce even better products and services and clients will become even more impressed with this new look and all the new things we will be presenting, one after another.”, said Mr. Niwatt in conclusion.
