As a result, PTT gained such recognitions for 8 consecutive years, and this reflects PTT’s leadership over its product quality development and service providing to truly match consumer behavior.
The Trusted Brands survey by Reader’s Digest is a survey on various brands of products and services which truly based on real consumer need and want. The annual survey was first started in 1999 in 7 countries consist of Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, and Philippines under 6 evaluating criteria which are trust, quality, value, image strength, response against consumer’s needs, and the innovative development to offer new product image and service to the consumer.
Mr. Sarun added that oil business (in Thailand) is a free trade business with high competition. However, PTT can maintain its No.1 market leading position in Thailand for 14 consecutive years (since 1993) with about 30% market shares. Thus, PTT focuses on offering highest service quality together with its attempts to minimize any negative impact faced by the Thais due to the rapid rise and fluctuation of global oil prices. In 2005, PTT absorbed public burden on oil prices by Bt4 billion, and so far this year, PTT has already helped ease the burden by more than Bt1.8 billion.
