Bangkok--11 May--Mind Touch
As a leading carrier of premium tourism into Thailand, award-winning Gulf Air expects to carry 140,000 passengers into Bangkok this year!
Gulf Air is about to give Bangkok’s tourist trade yet another boost after announcing value-for-money hotel deals that begin from as little as US$16 per person per night.
Passengers travelling on Gulf Air, whether on business or leisure trips, can now choose from a wide selection of hotels and apartments to suit their budgets at any point in the Gulf Air network.
In Bangkok, for example, incoming Gulf Air passengers can enjoy a stay at a popular three-star hotel for just US$16 per person per night.
Other stopover deals open to travellers from Thailand on the Gulf Air network include the Don Suites Rosebank in Johannesburg from US$44, the Chief O'Neils in Dublin for as little as US$93, the Ramada Hotel in the Gulf tourist hotspot of Muscat in Oman for US$77, the Holiday Villa in London from US$97 and the Hotel Du Bois in Paris from US$88.
In addition, Gulf Air offers private vehicle transfers and car hire in many destinations. As long as the journey includes at least one sector on Gulf Air, the stopover programme takes care of all on-the-ground arrangements.
Gulf Air’s Thailand GM, John Evans, said: "The Gulf Air stopover programme has been designed to meet the hotel, transfer and car hire needs of the Gulf Air customers, whether on business or on holiday.”
He added: "We have carefully selected a wide range of hotels and apartments at the most competitive rates offering excellent value-for-money amenities in more than 45 destinations. At Gulf Air, we are committed to providing excellent service at every point of the journey — the stopover programme is a prime example of this commitment."
Air traffic between Thailand and Gulf Air’s “home” nations of Bahrain and Muscat has grown by an enormous 75% over the last five years, according to authorities, and Gulf Air is expecting to carry some 140,000 passengers into Thailand this year alone.
The Middle East has become crucially important to Thailand’s economy because tourism from the region is regarded as top premium business. High-spending Arabs like to take long holidays in Thailand with their extended families and pour millions of dollars into the Thai economy, particularly through shopping and using private medical facilities.
Gulf Air has also opened up two extremely significant channels of tourism into Thailand by establishing services between Dublin and Bangkok and Johannesburg and Bangkok.
