JAY MART stages “Miss Mobile Thailand 2006” to search for young Thai females who have interest in and knowledge about Information Technology to be Thailand’s teen idols who have strong competence in Information Technology and use their free time in a creative manner.
JAY MART invites young Thai females aged 16 — 24 to partake in this contest and win the prizes worth a total of over 100,000 baht.
JAY MART Public Company Limited holds the press conference of “Miss Mobile Thailand 2006”. This contest is to seek for young Thai females who have knowledge about and interest in Information Technology to be Thailand’s teen idols who have strong competence in Information Technology and use their free time in a creative manner.
Mr. Kittipong Kanokvilairat, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of JAY MART Public Company Limited disclosed, “The previous contests of Miss Mobile Thailand received great support and good response from the public, and drew big attention from people to participate in. This year, “Miss Mobile Thailand 2006” is the sixth year of the competitions to be held. Not only is it aimed at supporting Thai youths to learn and understand today’s Information Technology systems, but it helps them to apply the Information Technology knowledge to benefit the society and to present it to advantage the general public as well. It is also held to support the government’s policies on Information Technology projects.”
The preliminary round of the contest will take place on 10 June 2006 at JAY MART, Head Office, 12th Floor. The 30 selected candidates from the first round will join the press conference on 14 June 2006, the Grand Opening date at Central Department Store — Lardprao branch and the final round that will be staged on 2 July 2006.
Winners of Miss Mobile Thailand 2006 will receive the following prizes:
Miss Mobile Thailand 2006 to get 100,000 baht scholarship, a trophy and ribbon
1st Runner-up to get 50,000 baht scholarship, a trophy and ribbon
2nd Runner-up to get 30,000 baht Scholarship, a trophy and ribbon
Miss Popular Vote to get 10,000 baht Scholarship, a trophy and ribbon
Miss Photogenic to get 10,000 baht Scholarship, a trophy and ribbon
The event will also present Miss Nunthiya Uengcharoen (Nong Prae) — Miss Mobile Thailand 2005, Miss Thunsutha Wongtrakul (Nong Pueng) — 3rd Runner-up, Miss Rutthiya Pulcharoen (Nong Pin) — Miss Popular Vote and Miss Aphichaya Wong-apai (Nong Gift) — Miss Photogenic, who will unveil their wonderful, memorable experiences and impressions gained from the contest and during their year as Miss Mobile Thailand 2005, along with an official farewell from Nong Prae.
Those interested in Miss Mobile Thailand 2006 must be 16 — 24 years old and studying at high school or commercial level or higher. Application can be made in person at JAY MART shops though out Bangkok, as well as Nokia shops in Siam Paragon and The Emporium and will be open from Thursday 25 May 2006 till Wednesday 7 June 2006.
