JW Marriott Bangkok will hold its first Japanese Arts Exhibition “Japanese Paintings by Christian Develter” at Tsu Japanese Restaurant starting from June 6 towards end of the month.
Christian Develter is a Belgian Artist. He has been living in Asia for the past 10 years. He studied in Gent and the Antwerp Fashion Academy, but soon realized that painting was his ture love. His style combines a sensual passion, playful sense of humor and bright colors to represent his view of popular fashion and trends. Through unusual color combinations and a respect for Asian sensibilities, his art conveys a deep emotional resonance supporting his claim for a place in the Asian art scene.
The opening cocktail reception is on June 6, 2006 from 6.30 pm -9.30 pm and the preview of latest painting series of Mr. Develter will be from June 6 — 30, 2006.
Chef Aki, the restaurant’s Head Chef, has created a special Japanese Arts Set Menu for Lovers of Japanese Arts which will be available only during June 6-30, 2006. Menus will be offered for both lunch (Baht 700) and dinner (Baht 1,500). A lucky customer may have a chance to go home with an original Christian Develter painting.
