The world’s leading mixed martial arts sports association, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, brings together 16 young men who are accomplished athletes, disciplined in wide range of mixed martial arts that include wrestling, boxing, judo, Jiu-Jitsu, karate and kickboxing. Each has the dream, the hope, and the will to fight in an Ultimate Fighting Championship event. But only one fighter from each of the two weight classes will succeed the challenge.
The competitors will endure the most grueling training and intense pressure of their lives. They will train together, live together, and fight against each other inside and outside of the storied UFC Octagon, an eight-sided caged ring designed specifically for the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
In each episode, the fighters will face off in challenges that are designed to push them to the edge of their physical and mental limits. The challenges will range from tests of physical stamina to mental strategy and training techniques. The winning team has the power to control the destiny of the opposing fighters. All training and tasks are performed under the strict supervision of two of the most successful and famous UFC fighters and trainers on the planet, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture and UFC Light Heavyweight #1 Contender Chuck Liddell.
In the end, the best two in each team will battle it out face-to-face in a primal, no-holds-barred championship match where one thing is certain — only one from each weight class will reign — The Ultimate Fighter.
