Affirming Shin Satellite's leading status as a hotbird satellite company in India, YPT Entertainment, of Chandigarh, has commenced leasing space for its news and entertainment programming.
YPT Entertainment will initially use one channel on Shin Satellite's Thaicom 3 satellite and then will be transferred to the new Thaicom 5 satellite once it is operational to offer programming to the northern part of India. With around 100 million Indian TV households, YPT Entertainment is looking forward to expanding its viewer base by offering top quality programming.
