Comprehensive Solutions Offer Lowest Total Cost of Ownership, are Easiest to Use and More Reliable
Samsung Electronics today showcased its latest range of premium IT products in the notebook, LCD monitor and printer categories, reinforcing the company’s leadership position in developing cutting edge technologies and solutions to meet the increasing demands of modern day businesses and executives on the move.
The Samsung IT business saw impressive double digit growth of 15 per cent in South-east Asia and Oceania last year, driven by the establishment of its new corporate IT business, as well as its entry into the notebook segment and expansion of its colour laser printer line. Locally, Thai Samsung Electronics achieved sales of more than US$65 million last year, an outstanding 22 per cent increase over the previous year.
Building on its innovation and technology in semiconductors and LCD panels, established distribution channels and its expertise in digital convergence, Samsung is setting its goal on being the region’s major IT player. Targeting growth of its IT business in Southeast Asia this year of more than 35 percent, Samsung is seeking to increase its portfolio in the corporate B2B market segments.
“From our input computing, storage to output printing and display devices, Samsung has a broad product portfolio compared with most IT brands. With our technology, innovation and leadership in each business discipline, we are able to harness the best available technologies and offer our corporate customers a strong product line-up, and a comprehensive suite of cost-efficient and effective solutions that drive the lowest total cost of ownership and help them to bring their business to greater heights,” said Mr. Kwang Kee Park, Managing Director — Thailand Business Operation, Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. at the Samsung IT Roadshow 2006.
Acknowledging that corporate end-users these days value stylish design, demand greater convenience and seek products with multiple functionalities that drive outstanding performance, the Samsung IT strategy is catered towards meeting their sophisticated needs. Samsung has a premium selection of notebooks, LCD monitors and printers, ranging from the ultra thin power notebooks, the network-ready ergonomically designed display monitors, to the world’s smallest and lightest colour laser printer and most compact multi-function printer. With sophisticated design and revolutionary user-centric functions, delivering unparalleled performance for business computing, Samsung has won more than 40 global awards in 2005 alone.
In this year’s Samsung IT Roadshow 2006, the company further reinforced its commitment to capture the corporate business segment with its series of digital office management solutions that allow users to work effectively and efficiently in a seamless and integrated network environment.
Leading the technological solutions at the event is Samsung’s MagicNet technology.
It enables users to schedule and push content directly to multiple MagicNet monitors on the network from a centralized server. This innovative technology eliminates the need for any remote PCs and is ideal for public displays at shopping malls and airports.
Another key solution is Samsung’s Confidential Print. Documents sent to the printer will remain in the printer until a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) is entered. This allows you to maintain privacy and ensure secure delivery and printing of confidential information, thus protecting company’s intellectual property and valuable business information.
Other solutions showcased in this roadshow include:
USB Direct Print gives users the convenience to print documents directly from USB memory stick
SyncThruTM Network Management is a web-based printer fleet management application, allowing remote monitoring and managing the networked printers
SecuPrintTM document security solution enables administrator to track and control printing activity of any document
Document Management, such as scan to email and scan to network, offers the convenience of sending scanned documents direct from Samsung MFP printers, and storing directly to network folders
Print AuditTM print tracking and auditing solution helps businesses monitor usage of printers and use printers more cost effectively.
