Microsoft Thailand today launched the campaign “Microsoft IT Youth Challenge 2006”, held for three consecutive years with an aim to boost youth interest on technology as well as sharpen their basic IT skills. The campaign provides a platform for Thai students in primary school level to secondary school level to submit their creative IT works to win 100,000 scholarship and trophy granted by the prime minister, today to August 18, 2006.
Details of the application of student work joining “Microsoft IT Youth Challenge” are as follow:
1. Junior primary school students (P.1 —P.3) should submit their one A4-sized page long work developed by Microsoft Paint under the concept “Abstract Picture”
2. Senior primary school students (P.4 —P.3) should submit their 1-3 minutes work developed by Microsoft Movie Maker under the topic “Health & Wellness”
3. Junior high school students (M. 1 — M.3 ) should submit their work developed by Microsoft Excel under the topic “Mathematic Games”
4. High school students (M. 4 — M.6 ) should submit their work developed by Microsoft Front Page under the topic “Learning Science”
The preliminary selection result will be announced on September 29, 2006 through www.pil.in.th . Students whose work entering the first round of selection will join youth camp to develop their creative ideas for the next round competition.
