Bangkok--27 Jun--Moody's Asia Pacific
Moody's Investors Service launched today a dedicated Korean website - in both Korean and English languages-- in response to the rising interest from clients and other market participants in its Korean ratings, research and analysis.
The site, www.moodyskorea.com , provides access to a broad range of ratings news and commentary provided by Moody's analysts on Korean corporations, financial institutions, infrastructure entities, government issuers and structured finance transactions.
"The launch of this website underscores Moody's commitment to the Korean market," said Thomas Keller, Group Managing Director, Asia Pacific. "We are confident that it will help to make the ratings process more transparent as well as make Moody's ratings and research more accessible."
The introduction of the new website follows the opening in April 2005 of Moody's representative office in Seoul, headed by Soo Jung Kim as Representative Director. "In determining the most appropriate form and content for the new website, Moody's performed thorough and detailed research, including seeking comments and feedback from clients," said Ms. Kim.
"In addition to establishing a website that we believe is responsive to client needs, we are determined to continue developing its capabilities and would be happy to hear feedback from users." Specifically, the website provides users access to Korean rating actions as well as ratings on issuers and Korean structured finance transactions.
Watchlist information is also available.
In addition to issuer-specific information, the site contains research about Korean industries, Moody's rating methodologies and a calendar of Moody's upcoming events. An Issuer Guide to Moody's Ratings, which provides a description of Moody's rating process, is also available.
The Korean website complements Moody's existing global website, www.moodys.com , which continues to deliver Moody's credit research globally, and also follows other versions in the Chinese and Japanese languages.
