The Bualuang Thanarat 10/49 B Mutual Fund will be on offer at Bangkok Bank branches nationwide from July 25 to August 2, 2006. The latest mutual fund has a maturity of not more than six months and investment units will be automatically redeemed at a minimum rate of 4.70 percent per annum.
Bualuang Thanarat 10/49 B is the 14th fixed income fund in the ‘Bualuang Thanarat’ series. It has a fund size of Baht 3 billion, which can be extended by another Baht 450 million if it receives strong investor interest. Investment units are priced at Baht 10 a piece with a minimum purchase of Baht 10,000. The fund has a maturity of five to six months. Investment units will be available one time only for individual and juristic investors through Bangkok Bank branches nationwide from July 25 to August 2, 2006.
Bangkok Bank Vice President Suyanee Puripanyawanich said the Bualuang Thanarat 10/49 B Mutual Fund is a short-term investment that carries a low risk because it will invest in government debt instruments such as treasury bills, government bonds, bonds issued by the Bank of Thailand, and deposits. The fund is exempt from personal income tax.
The date for automatic redemption will be announced 60 days after the fund is registered.
Since the first Bualuang Thanarat fund was issued in October last year, Bangkok Bank customers have invested more than Baht 55 billion in the funds.
