DEBUT IN ASIA THIS 30 JULY 2006 AT 8PM
Vince Chase is a hot young movie star whose career is just taking off. To share the fun of his ride and keep him grounded, Vince looks to his longtime pals from Queens, his entourage of friends: Eric, Vince’s best friend and manager who is learning the rules of Hollywood as he tries to help Vince make the right decisions; Drama — Vince’s half-brother and has-been actor, whose acting aspirations have been overshadowed by Vince’s success; and Turtle — the least experienced of the group who is always looking for a good time.
Together, they experience the highs and lows of celebrity life in the fast lane of Hollywood where stakes are higher, the money and temptations greater than ever before.
ENTOURAGE stars Adrian Grenier (Drive Me Crazy) as Vince, Kevin Connolly (The Notebook) as Eric, Kevin Dillon (The Doors) as Johnny “Drama”, Jerry Ferrara (NYPD Blue) as Turtle, and Emmy? and Golden Globe nominee? Jeremy Piven (Serendipity) as Vince’s aggressive, high-powered super agent Ari, who clashes with Eric over this client’s decisions.
Based on the experiences of celebrities and their group of friends, this sharply written HBO Original comedy series draws on the experiences of industry insiders to illustrate both the exhilarating excesses of the celebrity lifestyle, and the transient concept of fame in the fast track of show business.
Little known to the public, ENTOURAGE is based loosely on the life of Mark Walhberg (The Italian Job), who also executive produces this obsessively addictive comedy series. Incidentally, Wahlberg makes a cameo appearance in the first episode of the series.
Other guest stars in ENTOURAGE include Jessica Alba, Val Kilmer, Scarlett Johansson, Jimmy Kimmel and Luke Wilson, among others.
Created by Doug Ellin (Kissing A Fool) who also writes for the series, ENTOURAGE snagged Golden Globe? nominations for three years successively. ENTOURAGE won nominations for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, and for Jeremy Piven's compelling performance as the shrewd and street-smart Ari for the first two seasons.
HBO will premiere two seasons of ENTOURAGE on HBO as the fourteen-episode Season Two is set to premiere immediately after the eight-episode Season One.
The first two half-hour episodes of ENTOURAGE Season One premieres back-to-back this 30 July 2006 at 8pm. Subsequent episodes will run every Tuesday from 1 August 2006 at 8pm (TH)
