Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, representing Her Majesty the Queen, graciously presided over the opening ceremony of a grand silk event called “Mon Mai Thoed Phrakiat: A Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit” at Siam Paragon Shopping Centre.
The event, to be held until August 2, 2006, is organized to launch for the first time the royally-granted peacock emblem - a certification mark for officially approved Thai silk fabrics and products - issued by the Queen Sirikit Institute of Sericulture.
