Ford Thailand and Ford Leasing, decided to extend the innovative first month free payment offer until August 15 in response to the overwhelming response and demand generated by customers and Ford dealers.
Ford earlier introduced an innovative financing scheme offering a 1st month installment waiver and a low monthly installment payment starting from Bt4,999 to customers who buy a New Ranger pickup from July 28 — August 6. The campaign, which was initially held to celebrate Ford Thailand’s 10th anniversary under the “Thank You Thai Customers for Supporting Ford for 10 Years in Thailand” program, is part of Ford Thailand’s aggressive retail campaign for the month of August.
Mr. Korakot Varavichit, Ford Leasing Thailand's Marketing Director, said, “The market and dealer response towards our free first month installment offer has been phenomenal. During the 10-day period, the rate of applications for the special offer has tripled a normal month. This is the best proof for the success of our innovative marketing campaign based on strong consumer insight and with the intention of supporting consumers in this hour of rising oil prices.”
He further explained that the special offer helped lower monthly payment for customers on the first 18 months of payment term. “We did not lower the first 18 months payments by increasing the monthly payment for the rest of the installment period, but instead subsidized for the first 18 months.”
The All New Ford Ranger, launched in April this year, is the latest pickup truck in the market with the latest diesel commonrail engine technology. Its innovative Duratorq TDCi commonrail engine delivers the best of both worlds: best-in-class torque and high fuel efficiency. The 3.0L model produces class-leading 380 nm at 1,800 rpm and 156 PS power output while the 2.5L model produces impressive 143 PS and 330Nm of torque at a low 1,800 rpm, yet provides 22% better fuel economy than the Ranger's previous 2.5L turbo engine.
In addition to the extended campaign, Ford Thailand also celebrated a new record set by the recent Ford Ranger Fuel Economy Challenge in Ayuthaya. Ford customers participating in this event achieved remarkably high fuel economy results in real life conditions at 30.03 kilometers per liter. Interested persons may attend the next event in Ubon Ratchathani during the Mother’s Day long holiday.
