Demco claimed its leadership in Thailand’s Electrical Engineering and Telecom System Providers market amid continuous strong revenue expansion. Company plans to enter the stock market this year.
Ms. Praphee Puipunthavong, Chairperson of Demco Public Co., Ltd., a leading Electrical Engineering and Telecom System Provider, revealed that company generated total revenues of baht 1,533 in 2005, a 151% increase over the previous year. Its net profit also jumped 420%, from baht 9 million in 2004 to baht 44 million in 2005. The company plans to list its shares in the MAI Stock Market later this year to further enhance company’s capability. Currently, the company has derived its revenues from 5 businesses; namely Electrical Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical System, Telecommunications, Energy Conservation and Steel Structure Manufacturing. In Electrical Engineering works, company provides one-stop full services from receiving the electricity from the electrical generators to distributing electricity to buildings and households. This covers designing and constructing electricity transmission lines, designing and constructing substations and high-voltage and low-voltage electricity distribution system.
Mr. Pradej Kitti-itsaranon, Demco’s Managing Director said that company has throughout its 14 years, earned respect from both governments and large private entities such as Electrical Generator Authority of Thailand, Provincial Electrical Authority, Metropolitan Electrical Authority and Independent Power Producers such as Glow Energy Plc. Its advantages stem from in its highly-experienced management team and staff with over 20 years experiences in the fields.
“Whereas in Telecommunications, the company is one of the two companies in Thailand, capable of using “Blowing Method”, an advanced technology in laying Fiber optic along the gas pipelines. Therefore, its telecommunications clients cover both Major Mobile Phone Operators and Major Oil & Gas companies.
In addition, the company has quickly expanded its mechanical and electrical works by providing one-stop full-service system work covering large air-conditioning system, Sewage system, to large factories and organizations such as Siam Commercial Bank Plc., Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, President Rice Products Plc. On the Energy Conservation side, DEMCO has been registered as an Official Energy Conservation and Environmental Consultant by Ministry of Energy. As a result, its Energy Consulting business has grown sharply.
Praphee added that company had lately registered itself as a public company. “ We will list our shares in Thailand’s MAI Stock Market. We hope this move will provide a strong platform for company to become the Top Full-service Engineering & Telecommunications Provider.”
