Floyd’s Restaurant at Burasari - Pathong Phuket by Mr. Keith Floyd, the adventurous superstar chef who made turbulent of travel and bringing along the quality and provenance of food around the world.
Good food addicted people who prefer typical provenance from anywhere around the world shall be ready to meet at the Floyd’s Restaurant when it officially open at the new look of Burasari Resort - Pathong Phuket at the end of coming September.
Floyd’s Restaurant” shall be the 1st and only restaurant in Asia where Keith Floyd will prepare special recipe created from the original of the countries during his turbulent of travel and also during his documentary on-screen at the BBC broadcasting, cooking demonstration series of “Fish on Floyd” which made him the 1st Chef to take cooking out of the studio and into the real world no matter where as on the cliff, by the lake or even on the hill.
Besides his flamboyant TV series as moderator and demonstrator, Mr. Floyd wrote a large number of cook book combining with traveling around the world which was widely accepted to be made one of the best selling list. His way of writing not only making you feel as if you are actually standing in the middle of an event in a place but also inspiring a large
number of reader in cooking his recipe as prescribed in his book.
For more than 40 years of his traveling around the world collecting a large number of provenance recipe focusing on the cuisines of many countries and regions which internationally shown in his TV series and in his 22 books he wrote. His Thai food book about classical recipe which he learned during his frequent visits to Thailand will be launched soon. His
classical recipe in this book maintaining the original recipe since our granny period such as “Kaeng Keo Warn” or Green chili curry which nowadays the younger generation could no longer taste cooked by their grand-mothers.
Mr. Keith Floyd is a British man whose adventurous spirit to make journeys all around the world with enthusiastic sense of study and research especially the local scholarly ingredients shown in his “Adventure with Floyd” documentary series including Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Mediterranean, Spain, Sweden, Vietnam, China, Malaysia and also Thailand and other countries more. And it was broadcasted over 40 countries around the world. The symbol people remembered him is the hand drawing of himself holding a cooking knife put on the earth in his left hand while holding a wine glass in his right hand with his signature on the bottom.
What Mr. Keith Floyd most precious pride was that the Prince Philip, the Royal consort of HM the Queen Elizabeth II of the British Royalty appreciated the food of Mr. Floyd so much to order to buy his cook book which he himself use to cook for the Queen. This book later was delivered by the royal officer to Mr. Floyd for initiating. Not long after that Mr. Floyd had an opportunity to line along the drive way of HM the Queen and the Prince , the Prince raised his hand of appreciation “Well done” towards Mr. Floyd while their car passing him.
“Floyd’s Restaurant” prepares to open at the same time with the opening of the new look of Burasari Resort — Patong, Phuket on Sepember 29th when Mr.Keith Floyd “the Humour Super Star Chef” of the world will join this “Floyd‘s restaurant” opening occasion. He also is invited as distinguished guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Bangkapi on Tuesday September 19th to be held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.
