Today (August 22, 2006) at the opening ceremony of the seminar and exhibition of “PTT Group Synergy for Excellence”, Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun, President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), said PTT Group’s vision is to be the Thai Premier Multi-National Company through the creation of group’s business synergy. To move forward in becoming a high performance organization and boost its competitive edge to match global arena, the “Business Excellence” of each companies under the Group would be adopted as a knowledge sharing model. Therefore, PTT Group Synergy for Excellence is organized to bring about the mutual understanding amongst the employees of PTT Group regarding the Group’s business operations. The event is also expected to inform the employees about the Group’s joint knowledge-base management so that they can move forward the same business direction.
In addition, Mr. Prasert said PTT Group expects to boost its business value through PTT Group Value Chain’s strategic move. The value chain focuses mainly on natural gas-based production and deploys toward the petrochemical and refining businesses as value creating along the chains. At the event, there will an announcement of 15 petrochemical and refining companies under PTT Group. Today’s event is to reflect the Group’s business synergy and to give the audience a more understanding of the significant roles of local petrochemical and refining businesses. The audience will learn about the linkage between the gas value chain and their daily living.
