Barter Center Company Limited, an operator of barter business, has appointed Barter World Company Limited as its first franchisee to operate its second branch to cover Ratchada and Lard Prao areas.
According to Mrs. Hathairat Saraya, Managing Director of Barter Center, the appointment will enable the company to service its members efficiently and will encourage the two parties to increase the number of members.
Under the five-year agreement contract, Barter Center will provide all supports, including training, barter trade system, and database of members, to its franchisee.
She said this was the important step for the company, which was newly established less than two years, as the new branch would encourage the company to satisfy its members, in term of service quality.
“We have not set any goal at the moment because we hope to focus the service rather than number of members and this deal will be used as a model for us to expand other branches later,” said Mrs. Hathairat.
Meanwhile, Mr. Thanakrit Kamolpattarasit, Managing Director of Barter World, added that it was a great opportunity for the company to join with Barter Center because the barter trade would help the members to increase business without cash.
As part of the company’s marketing plan to service members, Barter Center will organize a trade fair exclusively for the member at Than Settakij Building on August 24, 2006.
Mrs. Hathairat said the members who were exhibitors at the fair would bring more than 200 items, in term of products and services, to join the fair. “This is the third time for us to organize this fair for our members,” she said.
