JD Pools makes a move to protect its rights and Thailand's prestige by suing against De Cheyeaux and DSI amounted at approximatedly BHT 100 million because De Cheyeaux and DSI 's twisting the facts about the patent right and the invasion into the go-down in Phuket. It is believed that the foreign counterpart attempted to destroy JD Pools' reputation, resulting in a huge commercial loss. However, the first half of 2006 sales turnover reached BHT 200 million while JD Pools will continue to introduce pool innovation to penetrate into foreign marketplace. A sales turnover of BHT 400 million is estimated in latter half of 2006.
Mr. Tanusak Puengdej, JD Pools Group's managing director, disclosed that as a leading entrepreneur in swimming pool under "JD Pools" brand, a legally registered trademark, the company will pursue a legal case against De Cheyeaux and will claim a commercial loss of BHT 100 million. This came out as a result of De Cheyeaux's accusation of JD Pools' violating patent rights of swimming wall.DSI has cooperated with De Cheyeaux by seizing JD Pools' trucks from the go-down in Phuket on August 18, 2006.
JD Pools rules out all accusations and the attempt initiated by De Cheyeaux was a pre set-up attempt by a foreign competitor. DSI was involved in the attempt by seizing JD Pools' asset from the go-down in Phuket. This was an attempt to damage JD Pools' reputation and good image. The loss could not be assessed in money terms. JD Pools will continute the effort to seek justice through legal procedures and will claim a commercial loss from De Cheyeaux and DSI. DSI has never probed into the matter before taking action against us. We will eventually give all money claimed from this case to charity."
Tanusak further adds that the truth of the matter is clear that JD Pools hasn't violated any patent right of De Cheyeaux as claimed.
