SCB Securities has appointed Thomas Hilboldt to be their new Head of Research.
SCB Securities Chief Executive Officer, M.L. Chayotid Kridakon, said “ We are delighted to welcome such a highly qualified professional, as Thomas has tremendous experience in research as well as in-depth knowledge and understanding of Thailand’s capital markets. Therefore, we strongly believe that Thomas’s appointment will empower our research team and surely increase investor confidence in our research. Regarding to Khun Susheel Narula, our outgoing Head of Research, will transfer to Siam Commercial Bank, our parent bank, to head its Corporate Strategy function.

Thomas Hilboldt has more than 20 years of work experience in United States, Asia Pacific and in Thailand. He was a Director and Head of Regional Oil & Gas Research at Citigroup, based in Hong Kong . Prior to that, he was Asia Pacific energy/chemical analyst and Deputy Head of Thai Research at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and Thai Energy and Building Materials equity analyst with Crosby Research in Bangkok. Before moving to Asia, Mr. Hilboldt worked in New York in the fixed income arena for nearly 10 years.
