Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX) has agreed to BT Securities, Kiatnakin Securities, and Siam City Securities joining as new members, to start trading from September 4, 2006. These additional members signal the continuing expansion of the Exchange’s investor base.
“As new members, they have had to meet TFEX’s criteria, conduct efficient business operations, be certified by SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), and have passed our joint electronic system test. TFEX is confident that our strict eligibility process ensures that they are ready to join,” TFEX President Ms. Kesara Manchusree said.
TFEX approved 20 qualified members prior to market inauguration in April 2006. With these three additional brokers, there will now be 23 member companies providing services. In addition, there are more firms in the process of preparation and obtaining approval to join the Exchange.
