AXN with Sony, Caltex, AirAsia and Nokia Nseries joined together to give out big prizes to the three winning Thai teams of “The Amazing Race Asia Promotional Tour” campaign, recently held at Center Point, Siam Square.
AXN Asia, (Ch. 19 UBC), the leading international action and adventure cable channel, held this B!G event, “THE AMAZING RACE ASIA PROMOTIONAL TOUR” in downtown Bangkok, the first time for everyone to experience the fun and adventure of AXN’s B!GGEST Original Production to date — The Amazing Race Asia, slated to air later in 2006 on AXN.
Creating the first-ever Asian edition of four-time Emmy award-winning reality series “The Amazing Race”, they are looking to build awareness of AXN while generating buzz for their original production, The Amazing Race Asia, and to drive viewership for the broadcast of the programme when it is aired later this year on AXN. THE AMAZING RACE ASIA PROMOTIONAL TOUR has been brought to Thailand by AXN and sponsored by Sony, Caltex, AirAsia, and Nokia Nseries.
“The Amazing Race Asia Promotional Tour” campaign is an on-the-ground event finding three winning teams by giving a chance to the general public, in teams of 2, to participate in numerous challenges. Teams were required to go through a qualifying round, with the 10 fastest teams being selected to complete 4 challenges in a row. All three of the fastest teams were given the grand prizes of a Sony Cybershot cameras or Walkmen, AirAsia return tickets to various Asia destinations, Caltex StarCash, and a Nokia Nseries mobile phones, along with The Amazing Race Asia premiums.
