Bangkok--11 Sep--Standard & Poor's
A new report by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services says industry estimates of bond issuance in the current year continue to differ widely, despite the fact that the year is nearly three-quarters over.
"Our survey of estimates by market professionals reveals little clear trend, but overall a somewhat more optimistic outlook than in the last survey six months ago," said David Wyss, Chief Economist for Standard & Poor's.
Standard & Poor's commissions Business Communication Strategies (BCS) in Westwood, Mass. to conduct a survey of bond market professionals. BCS surveyed major bond houses, and aggregated the estimates provided for 11 categories of bonds and five of structured finance. This year's survey was conducted in July, and the results are summarized in the article titled, "World Bond Issuance In 2006: An Update."
