The SSL312 will enable businesses to provide clientless, secure remote access to corporate networks for up to 25 concurrent remote users through a standard web browser
NETGEAR, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTGR), a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced the availability of the ProSafe? SSL VPN Concentrator 25 (SSL312) in Thailand.
The SSL312 is an easy-to-use and reliable SSL VPN Solution that delivers clientless, secure remote access to network resources for small- and mid-sized businesses under 100 users.
It will also enable businesses to boost the productivity of remote employees by providing secure anytime, anywhere access to the corporate network from any standard Web browser using the popular e-commerce protocol, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
By eliminating the need to install special client software on the remote computer, mobile workers can securely access the corporate network easily and affordably using any PC and standard Web browser from anywhere with Internet access.
“Our customers have wanted an easy-to-deploy, hassle-free alternative to ‘traditional’ IPSEC solutions that require client software to be loaded on each PC for remote access, all without compromising on security,” stated Vivek Chugh, Product Line Manager at NETGEAR.
“The NETGEAR ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator enables clientless, web-based remote access that is easy to use and securely deployed with low operational costs. In our focus to improve productivity by delivering enterprise class features to the SMB, we have increased the options for IT professionals to provide remote access using the increasingly popular SSL VPN technology,” he added.
NETGEAR’s ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator 25 (SSL312), the industry’s most cost-effective SSL VPN solution with no licensing restrictions, comes with two 10/100 Ethernet ports and a console port for remote manageability.
The SSL312’s advanced features include SSL support for security and privacy, granular policy configuration tools for complete control over individual user access, and a clientless architecture that eliminates the high cost of installing, configuring and maintaining client software.
The SSL312 which ensures data privacy with SSLv3 and TLSv1.0 with AES-256, cryptographic hash algorithms such as MD5 and SHA-1 and optional automatic cache cleanup after session termination to ensure privacy of data, supports 25 concurrent remote users to securely access resources using standard web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and
Apple Safari.
In addition to integrating with a broad range of user repositories, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and RADIUS, for user authentication, the SSL312 interoperates with standard based firewalls including NETGEAR’s ProSafe line of VPN Firewall Routers to provide a complete security solution.
The NETGEAR ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator 25 (SSL312) is backed by a 3-year warranty and 24/7 technical support. The NETGEAR ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator 25 (SSL312) is available now via value-added resellers at a list price of US$545.
