Happy from DTAC introduces the D Family SIM, the new latest SIM that combines the ideas of ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Outside In’ together. The move is not only to welcome the new market environment during the Post Interconnection Charge Era but also to reflect the Happy brand as the trendsetter of the telecommunication industry. Believing that the trend of ‘On Net’ call is coming, D Family SIM invites DTAC customers, who are part of the family, to call each other within the network at a special rate of Bt1.50 per minute. When pick up a call from other DTAC customers, they will receive Bt1-per-minute-call-free bonus all through 24 hours.
“The introduction of D Family SIM is to extend our happiness to the customers. We got the inspiration from the Happy team's fun and joyful working atmosphere,” said Thana Thienachariya, Chief Commercial Officer of DTAC.
Thana said the move matches with the concept of an ‘Inside Out’ since the SIM reflects the way Happy truly is internally. At the same time, the new SIM can greatly support the new, emerging market demands after the Interconnection Charge is implemented. Happy sets up the special rate charge for customers that receive or make calls within the network. This can answer the business requirement in the style of an ‘Outside In’ since it helps Happy develop the network of ‘On-Net’ users while creating attractive charging rate, which will be the new trend of the market. Happy believes that the release of the product would become a new trend that all mobile operators will adopt in the not too distant future.
“D Family SIM is the first Post - interconnection - SIM from Happy. It will spur customers to make more On-Net calls. We expect that the D Family SIM will expand our customer base from words of mouth of existing customers who would tell their loved ones to join in the Happy family,” said Thana.
Happy will use the TVC, radio sports and billboards to promote the launch of D Family SIM. This includes ‘Below the Line’ marketing activities that will be carried out nationwide.
D Family SIM promotion charges Bt1.50 per minute for all calls made within DTAC network. At the same time, customers will get Bt1-per-minute-free-call-bonus when receiving a call from other DTAC customers (with a maximum of Bt5 per call), 24 hours. Any outgoing domestic calling to other operators is charged at Bt2 per minute for 24 hours. Customers using other SIMs can call * 1003 to change to D Family SIM.
