JW Marriott Bangkok proudly announces that its Executive Chef Richard Taffs, has recently won Marriott’s Award of Culinary Excellence — Chef of the Year 2006.
Marriott International has honored outstanding executive chefs with the Award of Culinary Excellence since 1998. Over 85 talented Marriott and Renaissance hotel chefs from around the world have received this award. The judging panel evaluated the nominees on the following criteria:
- Measurable Improvement in Overall Dining
- Outstanding Achievement in Culinary Excellence
- Creativity and Innovations
- Training and Development of others
- Leadership
- Personal Development
The highest scoring nominee is awarded “Chef of the Year”, and this year an award went to Chef Richard Taffs. Chef Richard has over 10 years culinary experience and has been worked with several five star hotels across the globe. He has been noted for his talented presentation, variety and taste.
