Marriott Thailand is proud to announce its current achievement in receiving 3 prestigious awards in hotel category from 2006 Thailand Tourism Awards ceremony night held in Bangkok this week.
Starting from Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa received award of Outstanding Performance for City Hotel of over 80 rooms (Eastern Region, Thailand), followed by Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa received award of Excellence for Resort Hotel of over 80 rooms (Central Region, Thailand), and JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa received award of Excellence for Resort Hotel of over 80 rooms (Southern Region, Thailand). The awards presented by Mr. Sakthip Krailerk, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport. In addition, those 3 Marriott resorts were previously awarded in 2004 in the same category.
Each category was rated according to a number of criteria including conservation of the environment and energy saving; standards in services to tourists and safety to life and property of tourists; promotions of environmental conservation in the local community and surrounding areas; motivation for tourism personnel, tourists, local authorities and community members to heighten awareness and promote cooperation in environmental and local culture conservation as well as conducting clear and sustained marketing plans.
