Readers of Business Traveller Asia Pacific voted British Airways Best European Airline for the fifth year in a row at an awards ceremony in Hong Kong on Thursday, September 14.
This added another trophy to the six awards that the airline won three days earlier at the UK Business Traveller awards held at the London Hilton hotel, Park Lane.
British Airways’ chief executive, Willie Walsh, collected six awards for:
Best airline
Best shorthaul airline
Best longhaul airline
Best frequent flyer programme
Best first class
Best economy class
“We are delighted that the readers of Business Traveller magazine have voted overwhelmingly for British Airways,” said Willie Walsh.
“It is an exciting time for British Airways as we look forward to re-launching our longhaul business class cabin, Club World, that will set new standards for business travel and ensure British Airways maintains its place at the forefront of our industry,” he added.
British Airways also scooped the title of Airline of the Year 2006 at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards earlier in June.
