Magnecomp Precision Technology has consolidated MPT’s business with Magnecomp (Thailand) as reported to SET earlier. The consolidation will be effective on October 2, 2006. This will not have effect on production capacity, but it will reduce cost and increase management efficiency of the Group in the Future.
(2 October 2006) Mr. Albert Ong Kim Guan, Chief Operating Officer of Magnecomp Precision Technology PLC (“MPT”) had announced according to reference is made to Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Company Limited (“MPT”)’s report to the Stock Exchange of Thailand dated March 24, 2006 regarding its board resolutions, which approved the consolidation and transfer of assets and operations of Magnecomp (Thailand) Limited (“MTL”), the wholly owned subsidiary of MPT, to MPT.
Effective on October 2, 2006, MTL will become a branch of MPT. This change in corporate structure within the Magnecomp Group is to enable the Group to be more effective and efficient in serving its customers, suppliers and business associates.
This merger will not interrupt the manufacturing operations of MTL at Rojana Industrial Park and MPT at Wongnoi, before and after. The only change is the combination of the two facilities to be under a single entity. In this regard, all the tax invoices, receipts, purchase orders and the other commercial documents to us should be addressed to this single entity as below:
