To attract more foreign participation and raise its profile internationally, Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX) will feature products at conferences in Singapore, India and U.S.A.
Among these will be Derivatives & Securities World in Singapore during October 3 — 4, hosted by Futures and Options World (FOW) magazine. TFEX Managing Director Ms. Kesara Manchusree will speak on developments in Thailand’s Index Futures Market. She will also join a panel on “Latest Developments in Asian Equity Derivatives”, together with representatives from Taiwan Futures Exchange, the Options Clearing Corporation (Chicago, U.S.A.), and Macquarie Securities (Singapore). TFEX will also have a booth at the event.
During October 17 — 19, and October 28 — 30, TFEX will participate in two Futures Industry Association (FIA) conferences. The first, entitled “FIA Asia Derivatives Conference”, is in India and the second one, “FIA Futures & Options Expo 2006”, is in the USA.
“Global investors and experts will be at these conferences providing TFEX with a unique opportunity for public relations and international marketing. By demonstrating our rapid growth and modern online trading systems, we will attract market makers and increase liquidity. International promotion is essential to boost investor confidence and participation, and support continued robust growth,” Ms. Kesara concluded.
