Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) will list three issues of treasury bills and one issue of Bank of Thailand (BOT) bonds worth THB 31.00 billion (approx. USD 826.67 million) on October 2 and 4:
1. TB50/01/28D, issued by the Ministry of Finance, maturing on November 1, 2006 and worth THB 6.00 billion, will commence trading on October 2, 2006, using “TB06N01C” as its trading symbol.
2. TB50/L1/91D, issued by the Ministry of Finance, maturing on January 3, 2007 and worth THB 6.00 billion, will commence trading on October 2, 2006, using “TB07103B” as its trading symbol.
3. TB50/L1/182D, issued by the Ministry of Finance, maturing on April 4, 2007 and worth THB 7.00 billion, will commence trading on October 2, 2006, using “TB07404A” as its trading symbol.
4. BOT49/02/13D, issued by the Bank of Thailand and worth THB 12.00 billion, has a 13-day maturity and will come due on October 19, 2006. It will commence trading on October 4, 2006, using “CB06O19B” as its trading symbol.
These issues will lift the value of BEX-listed government bonds to THB 2.96 trillion (approx. USD 78.83 billion), and the overall value of bonds listed to THB 3.21 trillion (approx. USD 85.52 billion).
