The official result has been released for the FBAT International Wine Challenge 2006 held during the International Food and Hospitality Show (IFHS) 2006 on 6 September.
The competition featuring Thailand’s leading imported wines was co-organized by the Food & Beverage Association of Thailand (FBAT) and Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd. (BES). The challenge had more than 130 participants in 8 categories and was judged by some of the leading industry wine experts.
The overall winner for the “Super Premium” class was Stone Wall, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc imported by Independent Wine & Spirit (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the title for Overall Winner “Premium” class was awarded to Pirramimma’s Stock’s Hill 2003, an Australian Shiraz imported by Festive Wine & Beverage Co., Ltd., and many others in other categories.
Mr. Sanjog Modgil presided over the competition as President of FBAT and Mr. Ranjith Chandrasiri, the President of Royal Cliff Wine was the Chairman of judges. Full competition results can be found at www.ifhs.net .
