Bangkok Bank Director Vira Ramyarupa presided over a ceremony to present the royal kathin to Wat Tha Luang in the northern province of Phichit on Sunday, October 14, 2006. The kathin received donations from the bank, staff, customers, and the general public, raising Baht 2.09 million for the temple. The proceeds will support Buddhist activities and the education of monks and novices at Wat Tha Luang.
Bangkok Bank has volunteered to present the royal kathin on behalf of His Majesty the King to temples under royal patronage nationwide every year since 1967.
Bangkok Bank’s Musical Art Center also organized a seminar and stage performance in celebration of the royal kathin and to entertain local people at the temple.
