Aware of the complaints raised by Khun Qian Cheng regarding his Land Rover Discovery V8 vehicle, and submitted to the Consumer Protection Board on 22 June 2006, Land Rover would like to reiterate that we remain committed to customer satisfaction through the delivery of the highest quality products and customer services.
The Company takes the matter very seriously by carefully studying the nature and factors of the complaint in order to come up with the immediate and appropriate action.
At this point in time, Land Rover would like to emphasize vital facts related to this specific case, in order to prevent any confusion that may arise from misleading information.
- Despite numerous requests from Land Rover Thailand to see the vehicle after the negotiation at CPB, the customer turned down every request thereby preventing us to have a close inspection of the vehicle.
- Land Rover Thailand and the dealer immediately tried to contact Khun Cheng after having been informed by the CPB about the complaint. However, Khun Cheng never answered nor returned our calls.
- On September 29, 2006, our dealer sent a letter to Khun Cheng, copy furnished to CPB and Land Rover Thailand, offering to check and repair the car for the customer as well as to provide a vehicle for use during the maintenance period. The customer on October 14 sent a letter back, turning down the offer.
- The alleged problems with the vehicle do not affect the vehicle safety and drivability at all.
Customer satisfaction remains Land Rover’s top priority at all times. The Company hopes to amicably resolve the issue very soon and will keep the public informed should there be any cause for concern.
