Data Replication, CDP and Automatic Failover Solutions Help Customers Fulfill Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Compliance Needs
CA (NYSE: CA) today announced availability of CA XOsoft? solutions, giving customers peace of mind in disaster recovery, business continuity and compliance needs in the Thai market. The solution has been launched to extend its storage management portfolio with an initial focus on finance, government and manufacturing industries.
Earlier this year, CA announced an acquisition of privately-held XOsoft, Inc., a leading provider of continuous application availability solutions that minimize application downtime and accelerate time to recovery. The acquisition enables CA to offer a complete recovery management solution that allows customers to minimize the risk of data loss, reduce the time spent on backups and expedite recovery of critical business services.
Following its purchase of XOsoft, CA has moved to make CA XOsoft’s products generally available through its distribution channels in Southeast Asia.
From today, channel partners will distribute CA XOsoft solutions, which are uniquely able to ensure host-based application availability by creating snapshots and allowing the entire system, including the OS, applications, and data to be rewound to a previous state.
Additional CA XOsoft features include:
Real-time WAN replication of file servers and databases for Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange/SQL/IIS and Oracle
Instant data recovery in the event of isolated data corruption episodes
Automated, scheduled tests for enterprise disaster recovery systems that do not disrupt the production environment or existing data protection
Data distribution and consolidation for centralized remote branch office backup, content delivery and web publishing

CA plans to eventually integrate CA XOsoft’s technologies into its BrightStor ARCserve Backup product, and offer a complete recovery management solution to help firms in all industries. Initially, the company will focus on companies in finance, government and manufacturing industries.
