TCL, the leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic appliances from China is pushing forward on sport marketing strategy to continue building TCL brand awareness and today announced its cooperation with Football Association of Thailand as official sponsor to help in making the dream to reach World Cup come true.
Mr.Anson Cheng, Managing Director of TCL Electronics (Thailand) Ltd. unveiled that in the middle of this year, TCL had joined Tossapak Co., Ltd. and Chang Beer as official sponsor in live TV broadcasting of World Cup 2006 from Germany to Thailand. It has been a very well responded from the consumers in Thailand, resulting TCL’s sale growth up to 30-40% for home appliance products and making TCL a quickly recognized brand by consumers.
“With the recent success, TCL is continuing to use sport marketing by focusing on football as it is ranked among the most interesting sports of Thai people. Therefore, TCL has initiated negotiation with the Football Association of Thailand committees to join in supporting Thai National Football Team. In the first phase, TCL will support with all AV products installation that necessary for the training of Thai National Football Team at the National Football Center — Nongchok and TCL will be the only one to put its logo on the soccer clothing with the logo of Thai National Football Team”. Said Mr. Cheng
Mr. Metha Rojanachaichanint, Marketing Manager of TCL Electronics (Thailand) Ltd. also mentioned “TCL is very much concern about its brand image and has put TCL a brand position as a young generation who is social responsibility - minded under a concept “Best Quality, Best Service and Best Communication”. This can be seen in TCL’s previous colorful marketing activities. After its great success in World Cup 2006, TCL has seriously focusing on the Thai football with a hope to see Thai Football Team to be appeared in the World Cup as same as TCL products that now can be sold around the world. Thought it could be difficult, but it doesn’t mean impossible. This initial cooperation is considered to be an inspiration of our hope globally”.
