This is an integrated and easy-to-use game management tool which helps avid PC gamers to monitor the system’s situation and frequency to enhance game play. The interface is designed specially to make all functions directly available to the user. All user has to do is simply press the Ctrl+O to call up or close the screen at anytime.
What does StarOSD actually do? When gamers find that the games they’re playing are running really slow on the computer, this may indicate that the system is below the minimum requirements. With StarOSD, users will be able to check and determine if the system’s temperature and picture quality is at its normal state. StarOSD also allows users to safely overclock within a 10% margin of the default clockspeed, as well as improve the picture’s brightness and contrast. How does StarOSD operate?
The StarOSD is an integrated and latest software technology developed by MSI that provides system monitoring, DOT (Dynamic Overclocking Technology) and Vivid Image Optimizer. The system monitoring comes with a quick system information link that enables users to adjust the necessary frequency and monitor the temperature without the need to exit the game. While the DOT is designed to detect and adjust the best CPU frequency automatically, it can still allow users to safely adjust the frequenct to a high setting for a successful overclocking. With the integration of the StarOSD’s database and DOT overclocking technology, overclocking has never been easier and more convenient. Last but not the least is the vivid image optimizer technology, which is a newly developed technology of MSI this year that optimizes pictures and images for the best quality. With a single mouse click, dull images are brought to life by increasing contrast and color saturation. It offer 5 configurable picture mode settings to provide outstanding high-resolution quality.

The MSI NX8800 series graphics card comes with a driver installation CD that supports the StarOSD; simply insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive to install it.
