Customers who sign up for a Bangkok Bank special edition Be1st card will now receive the gift of time in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
Bangkok Bank is giving away a special edition clock carrying the official Diamond Jubilee celebration emblem as a free gift to customers when they apply for the Be1st card.
The Bank’s limited edition gold Be1st card was launched in June to mark the anniversary celebrations.
The first 500,000 cards were snapped up so quickly that a further 500,000 were produced to meet customer demand. Approximately 800,000 cards have now been issued.
Bangkok Bank Senior Vice President Shoke Na Ranong said the cards are still available but with the announcement of the new premium gift, he expects the remaining few cards will go very quickly.
“The popularity of the card reflects the enormous respect that Thai people feel towards the monarchy and their desire to play a part in this year’s celebrations,” he said.
“The card and clock are special souvenirs to our customers to mark this once in a lifetime event of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who is now the world’s longest-reigning monarch. The celebration is a significant event in Thai history.”
Mr. Shoke said there were now fewer than 200,000 special edition Be1st cards remaining and the bank had no plans to produce more after current stocks run out. Customers wishing to collect the special edition Be1st card to commemorate this special occasion are advised to apply as soon as possible at any Bangkok Bank branch nationwide.
