Bangkok, 23rd November 2006 The Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) are cooperating to showcase leading Taiwan-made machine tools demonstrating the concept of Innovalue at METALEX 2006 from November 23 to 26, 2006, at BITECH, Bangna Bangkok.
The exhibition features award-winning products of seven leading Taiwan machine tool manufacturers. Each of the companies has been awarded the highly coveted Taiwan Excellence Award, presented to companies that truly exhibit the meaning of Innovalue innovation combined with added value. The result of this Innovalue is affordable access to Taiwanese innovation and technology products by customers around the world.
Mr. Yuen-Chuan Chao, president and CEO of TAITRA, stated, For more than 15 years, Taiwan has developed innovative products reaching the highest international standards. The Taiwan Excellence Awards further rewards and acknowledges these manufacturers for using innovation to create added value. The winners of the Gold and Silver Awards are selected by an international panel of leaders in the design, media, manufacturing, and marketing industries, and are judged for excellence across five criteria: R&D/innovation, design/innovation, quality systems, market position, and brand awareness.
METALEX 2006 is Asia largest international exhibition for machine tools and metalworking technology, and thus an important show for Taiwan machinery industry. TAITRA has coordinated with the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) to exhibit the Taiwan Excellence Award winning companies and their Innovalue products. Mr. Chao pointed out that during METALEX 2006, the competitiveness of Taiwan machine tools in terms of innovative technology, design, and quality would be on display. These three factors have helped raise production efficiency, lowering production costs, which have been passed along to customers. Offering high quality machine tools at attractive price points has allowed Taiwan to become the world fourth largest exporter of machine tools.
