As a leading computer vendor in Thailand with No.1 position in notebook market for 12 consecutive quarters (from 2003 to present), Acer Computer Co., Ltd. announced its target to rank No.3 in worldwide computer market by 2007. As part of its efforts to tap the server market, Acer has recently launched the “Altos G5350” server, which has been used in the production of the film “Sudsakorn”.
Mr. Nitipat Praweenwongwuthi, Senior Manager, Marketing Department, Acer Computer Co., Ltd. said: “Acer has been offering four product lines: notebooks, desktops, servers and peripherals. Most of our customers are consumers, businesses, government and education. We target to move up to the No.3 position in worldwide computer market by 2007. In Thailand, we currently hold the largest share in computer market (both notebook and desktop segments), and we are now ready to tap the server market, especially for SME.”

This server enables us to smoothly render CGI images such as imaginary creatures that look natural and realistic. The “Altos G5350” server significantly improves and facilitates our working process.”
