The opening ceremony of Thailand Condo Expo 2006 is lively with major real estate giants participating. A sales target of more than BHT 1,000 million to be generated before the year end.
The opening ceremony of Thailand Condo Expo 2006 is lively and exciting. Many major real estate giants including Areeya, Supalai, Property and Tararom participated in the expo. Harrison Ltd gathers numerous condominium projects for selection.
Many financial institutions such as Siam Commercial Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Kiat Nakin Bank and Bangkok Bank join hands with True and Tipco to stage Condo Cyber Juice Bar in the expo. On November 24, 2006, Mr. Pongpayom Wasabhuti, the permanent secretary of the Interior Ministry, presides over the opening ceremony of Thailand Condo Expo 2006, held between November 24 and 26, 2006 at Bangkok Convention Center, Central Plaza Ladprao. The expo gathers more than 100 condominium projects with a wide variety of choices.
Mr. Athip Peechanon, the president of the Condominium Association of Thailand, discloses that the Thailand Condo Expo 2006 is a joint effort between the association and Harrison Plc to highlight the PR effort and to stimulate sales turnover. It is the expo that gathers only the condominium projects together and it is expected that the number of Thai and foreign visitors will surpass 50,000 and the sales turnover generated during the expo will surpass BHT 1,000 million.
During the last few years, condominium market has been growing. Both Thais and foreigners have shown interest in condominium projects. Number of completed condominium projects since 2005 until June 2006 is as high as single house projects.
It is expected that the demand will still be high, as city people tend to live a modern lifestyle where residence is closed to workplace.
In the expo, there will be many attractive activities.The association in cooperation with True Corporation has created an area located in the center of the expo called “Condo Cyber Juice Bar”, a facility fully equipped with Internet online. This is to allow visitors to conveniently search for additional information about condominiums online. Tipco will serve fruit juice to clients. The facility will surely add liveliness to the expo.
There will also be a corner where clients will be given professional advice about how to go about buying a condominium in Bangkok. There will as well be fun activities in the central stage.
Mr. Kittisak Jampathippon, the deputy CEO of Harrison Plc, further adds that the expo has been well acknowledged by condominium projects especially those located along the BTS and MRT stations. In addition, beach condominium projects located in major tourist destinations both completed and being under construction will also be present at the expo. During the year, condominium projects have been popular and growing in a faster rate as compared to last year. Highly competitive market is another attribute that give customers a more variety of choices and benefits.
“Increase in competition surely gives benefits to customers. Those, who enjoy short-term investment, become less attracted to buying. On the contrary, those who wish to go for long-term investment and who normally buy condominium units to rent out, are on the rise. This expo will be very attractive and special promotions given to attendees will stimulate buying. The expo will benefit attendees in giving full details for decision making in the future as well. We have allocated BHT 7 million to the PR and ad campaigns. All efforts we put in will definitely help stimulate the condominium market and customer demand.”
Kittsak further adds that real estate companies who participate in this expo are Areeya Property, whose projects are under the name of “A Space”, Charn Issara Group, Property Perfect PLC, Supalai PLC, Tararom Enterprise PLC, Everland PLC, Nusasiri Group Ltd, to name a few. There are more than 20 projects that we present in the expo.
Leading financial institutions such as Siam Commercial Bank, Kasikorn Bank, UOB Thailand Bank, Krung Sri Ayudhya Bank, Bangkok Bank, are joining the expo. Special loan rates and NPA projects will also be presented to visitors.
