Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich and Government Pension Fund (GPF) Secretary-General Wisit Tantisunthorn signed a contract for the bank to offer education loans to GPF members. The signing ceremony was held at Bangkok Bank’s head-office on Silom road on November 22, 2006.
GPF members can take out loans of Baht 50,000-500,000 to pay for their own or their children’s education from kindergarten to university degree levels at educational institutions in Thailand or overseas. GPF members will be able to apply for the loans at any Bangkok Bank branch nationwide, except Microbranches, from January 1, 2007 onwards.
