Ford Thailand is set to create excitement for motorists and car lovers alike with the public debut of the New Ford Everest and New Ford Ranger Double Cab with 5-speed automatic transmission along with a full range of innovative products and irresistible promotional packages, at Thailand’s 23rd International Motor Expo 2006.

For the first time, Ford Thailand will debut two new vehicles simultaneously -- the New Ford Everest seven-seater family SUV and the All New Ford Ranger Double Cab powerful pickup. The two new models come with a 5-speed automatic transmission system which complements the Duratorq common-rail engine offering continuous acceleration, making the vehicle perfect for both urban and off road driving while providing the best possible fuel economy for motorists.
The New Ford Everest, with 75 percent new parts, is set to make new industry standards with several innovative segment-first features. It becomes one of the safest vehicles in its class with the first-in-segment 4 airbags, 2 side airbags in addition to the front airbags, and other improved safety features. Coupled with the first-in-industry “5-Year Worry Free Driving” program, including a five year warranty, five year free scheduled maintenance and five year free Roadside Assistance. Those who wish to buy a New Ford Everest from the Motor Show will also get the special promotional offer - free first-class insurance cover for one year.
The limited edition Ford Ranger Cross Country is also on show and has been produced to celebrate the victory the Ford Racing Thailand team at the Asia Cross Country Rally 2006. Built on the 4x4 Open Cab XLS platform, the Ford Ranger Cross Country comes with special accessories and GT-style exterior striping that adds to the rugged look of the vehicle. Only 40 units are available for booking.
Ford Ranger fans will be able to enjoy the ‘Buy Today, Pay Next Year’ promotional offer for the 4x2 model where Ford will pay for the installments for the first four months and the customer will start paying from the 5th month onwards (starting in April 2007), plus one year first class insurance. For those interested in purchasing the Ranger 4x4 model customers will be treated to free 1st class insurance for one year, 0% interest, and a 48 month payment plan.
In addition, the Ford Focus will have 0% interest, 48 month installment payment and one-year free 1st class insurance or free scheduled maintenance for five years/ 105,000 km. Ford Escape customers will be also able to get 0% interest, free one-year first-class insurance, 60 month installment on the 2.3XLT model and for the Ford Territory crossover vehicle, Motor Show customers will be able to enjoy 0% interest plus a 36 month installment payment plan.
This year Ford Thailand is also ready to ‘Make Every Day Exciting’ at the Motor Show by hosting a mini concert of AF3 stars on December 5 and 11. Other entertainment activities include special DJ spin show, a one-hour Q&A “Motor Talk” session with the racers of the Ford Racing Thailand team and warm welcome from the “Happy Feet” mascots.
