Motorola Thailand is proud to announce MOTOGOAL campaign featuring Motorola’s new global brand ambassador, David Beckham — the hottest property in professional football. As revealed in Motorola Inc.’s global announcement, the soccer icon will embark on a three-year collaboration with Motorola to support sales of Motorola’s handsets.
In Thailand, collaboration with David Beckham will focus on the Motorola W-Series models which include; Motorola W208, Motorola W220 and Motorola W375.
MOTOGOAL will be communicated to Thai consumers through a fully integrated communications campaign including advertising and attractive retail promotions rolled out across the network of Motorola stores and distributors nationwide.
The main highlight of the MOTOGOAL campaign is a lucky draw with a package tour for two to England — David Beckham’s home turf, as top prize. The package is valued at more than 500,000 baht. Runner-up prizes are 500 units of Motorola Match Balls complete with Beckham’s signature and worth 300,000 baht in total, plus 1,000 units of Motorola phone-holders over-printed with Beckham’s signature and worth 200,000 baht in total. In addition, any purchase of Motorola W-Series will receive an instant win of David Beckham lens cleaner worth 69 baht while stock last.
Any purchase of Motorola W-Series handsets can qualify for entry to the lucky draw promotion. Customers are invited to simply send an SMS with the content ‘MOTOGOAL’ followed by the 15 digits of the IMEI number of the newly purchased handset to 4530333 (SMS costs 3 baht per message). The lucky draw will take place at Grand Inn Come Hotel, Samutprakarn and the winner list will be posted on April 11, 2007 at www.hellomoto.com/th . The ‘MOTOGOAL’ campaign starts on January 15 and ends on March 31, 2007.
“Motorola Thailand is thrilled to announce the MOTOGOAL campaign to be spearheaded by superstar David Beckham as the new global brand ambassador. Many countries have already launched their own MOTOGOAL campaigns with tremendous success and I believe the campaign in Thailand, where both Motorola and David Beckam are brand icons in their own right, will also enjoy outstanding success,” said Vittakarn Chandavimol, Regional Marketing Manager Thailand & Indo-China (Mobile Devices).
