DJ E.A.S.E.
AKA:
NIGHTMARES ON WAX
Sunday 21 January 2007
For Nightmares On Wax’s DJ E.A.S.E., soul was always a latent force. It was just that it was buried within a bleeping MIDI interface. But there comes a time when raw energies like this can no longer be smothered by technological trickery. They reach eruption point. With 2 classic albums under his belt (Smoker’s Delight and Carboot Soul) and collaborations with hip hop legends such as De La Soul and OC, E.A.S.E. has crafted a niche for himself in the cluttered electronic music landscape. Fusing elements of dub, reggae, hip hop, and soul, E.A.S.E. has filled IPods and rocked dancefloors around the world.
