Thailand Industrial Fair will focus on exhibiting and selling mid-range machinery that are generally needed by a cross section of industry and affordable to even the SMEs from 8-11 February 2007 at Bangkok International and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) to support industrialists’ investment plans in new machinery.
“Holding back on costly machinery purchase is among the first casualties in a country facing uncertainties. By focusing on needed machinery at affordable prices, we expect to generate sales and cut the ‘buying decision process” of potential buyers from 3-6 months to onsite purchase or to within a few days to several weeks only,” said Mr Damri Nampaya, Managing Director of TBP Publications Co Ltd, organiser and publisher of Thailand Business Pages industrial buyers guide.
“In fact our exhibitors are willing to offer 30-70% discount, or even bigger on some items, to encourage industrialists to proceed with their buying plans,” he said.
“Hand tools and power tools are priced from few hundred to few thousand baht respectively. Cutting machines, welding equipment, compressor, electric equipment sell from around 50,000 baht; heavy duty industrial machinery and equipment are priced around 1.5 million baht, some sophisticated industrial machinery carry a tag price of around 2-3 million baht, while a range of material handling equipment, shelves and racks, packaging machines and various industrial machinery are also available at different price levels,” he said.
“In connection with the rising fuel costs, we are highlighting the Pavilion of the Department of Alternative Energy and Development (DEDE) of Ministry of Energy, which will showcase alternative energy sourcing technology, energy saving equipment and accessories for industry and the homes. We have a number of exhibitors along these product lines,” said Ms Pornanong Wongnipon, Marketing Director of TBP Publications Co Ltd said.
Mr Damri added the exhibits of generally needed and affordable machinery and equipment and the refocusing of Thailand Industrial Fair as a selling exhibition rather than trade sought to differentiate it from other exhibitions.
“Another highlight of our exhibition this year will be the holding of numerous live product demonstrations as this is the main reason why visitors attend exhibition. These demos will be simultaneously projected on a huge multi-screen TV in the exhibition to reach more visitors in the exhibition. We will supplement product demos with many games, which are an intelligent and creative way of stressing the strengths or uniqueness of exhibited products, and which can entertain visitors as well,” he said.
“To assist industrialists keep up with important changes, we will hold more than 100 free seminars during the exhibition, including Management, Industrial Manufacturing Technologies, Finance, Marketing, and many more from both renowned government and private speakers. Speakers include Dr Seree Wongmontha, who will talk about Modern Marketing and Mr Sawat Horrungruang who will talk about his steel and real estate businesses experience and how he could turn difficulties into opportunities. Interested parties wishing to attend the seminars can reserve their seats by calling 02 967 9999 or access to website www.thailandpages.com for more details,” he concluded.
