Bangkok--18 Jan--Thana Burin Asia Pacific
The Thai Bodybuilding Association and B2S jointly introduced today a one only book called ADORATION — The Siamese Male Physique to honour Thai male bodybuilders for their dedication to the sport — bodybuilding. The book has also been designed as an art piece to show through brilliant photography the male body structure.
Mr Pakpong Kriangsak, President of Thailand Bodybuilding Association, at the launch at B2S at Central World Plaza said “Bodybuilding has been recognised in Thailand for so many years. However, the sport rarely gets support and understanding from either the public or even some sporting associations. The Thai Bodybuilding Association has been operating for many years but it has only been over the past couple of years that the athletes have reached the world standards.
This has been due also to the fact that bodybuilder Sitthi Charoenrith recently won two gold medals in the 80kg-class of the 2005 and 2006 IFBB World Championship plus two gold medals in the 80kg-category at the SEA Games in 2005 and Asian Games in 2006, respectively.
“Mr Sitthi Charoenrith has become a role model for bodybuilding in Thailand. He is also recognised by bodybuilding athletes all over the world and has taken more than 12 years to reach his goal. A number of young adults wish to be like Mr Sitthi and always ask him how to succeed to reach their dreams.
ADORATION — The Siamese Male Physique has been created and developed through the art of Thai male physique. The book is dedicated to the athletes of the Thailand Bodybuilding Association for their dedication and commitment though they have to face many obstacles. We wish to encourage both the public, athletes and sports associations to understand more about bodybuilding athletes and the art form of their muscles. Their muscles cannot be built only a day. It takes time and needs total dedication.
Mr Pakpong added, “I believe that people who open the ADORATION — The Siamese Male Physique book will appreciate the art of the male physique, with some of them hoping that they will be able to reach the same level one day.
“Some 2 ? years has been spent working on the concept with advertising guru Andreas Benischek working as the Creative Director. Photos inside the book include 9 Thai male bodybuilding athletes and were taken by well known Thai photographer Phansiri “TIM” Sirivejchaphan. I would also like to thank Mr Hans Mueller who has created a fantastic modern, yet stylish design and layout for this book,” Mr Pakpong added.
ADORATION — The Siamese Male Physique book is available at all B2S stores at Baht 1,500.
Purchasers of the book at the launch at B2S, Central World today will also receive Mr Sitthi Charoenrith’s autograph, Thailand first world amateur champion for two consecutive years.
