The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) announced that eTurbo News has signed on as a media partner for the International Destination Expo-Asia (IDE), in Jeju, Korea, March 25-29, 2007. IDE is an educational conference designed to make travel agents experts in selling travel to Asia. e-Turbo News will exhibit and present a seminar at IDE and help to promote the event.
"We are thrilled to have e-Turbo News on board as a partner for IDE-Asia," said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. "It is because of our partnering with others in the travel industry that IDE has been such a success in the past. With eTurbo News, we hope to make this the best attended IDE to date."
eTurbo News and Knot Planner will present "Getting A Slice of The Destination Wedding + Honeymoon Cake". Mel Webster, president of Knot Planner, eturbo's new B2B publication, will moderate this educational seminar. Agents will learn how to capture their share of these lucrative niches and put the "wow" factor into a specialized product line-up with amazing Asian destinations and start tapping into the booming destination wedding + honeymoon markets.
Thomas Steinmetz, eTurboNews Publisher notes "destination weddings have increased in the United States alone by 400% over two years. It's a booming, growing market not to be underestimated or under-managed. We created Knot Planner specifically to help travel planners access a diverse range of top-tier packages, hotels, resorts and destinations that will enable them to provide clients with extraordinary destination weddings and honeymoons."
The flagship publication, eTurbo News, delivered globally to the travel and tourism industry enjoys very strong circulation in Asia and is a daily bulletin of reports written by a global team of contributing editors, writers, guest analysts and occasional correspondents. eTurbo focuses on events, company news, market trends, new routes and services, political and legislative developments relevant to travel, transport and tourism, and issues relating to tourism's role in the fight against poverty, and the industry's responsibility for the environment and human rights. The content of the reports is editorially regulated according to news values, significance and accuracy, copyright protected, and independent of any advertising and sponsorship carried.
ASTA's (American Society of Travel Agents) mission is to facilitate the business of selling travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and the enhancement of professionalism. ASTA seeks a retail travel marketplace that is profitable, growing and a rewarding place to work, invest and do business.
