The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved CIMB-GK Securities (Thailand) Limited resuming its securities business under SET Membership No.43 from February 2, 2007, using “CIMB-GK” as its symbol.
CIMB-GK was previously known as BNP Paribas Peregrine Securities (Thailand). The company had suspended operations since September 26, 2005. Its shareholding structure was changed after CIMB-GK Pte.Ltd. became its principal shareholder holding a 99.99% stake, after which the firm adopted its current name.
CIMB-GK has Mr. Rafidz Rasiddi as its country head, and Ms. Yuwana Ratanawichien as chief operating officer. Currently the company has THB 300 million in paid-up capital and holds three securities licenses for securities brokerage, underwriting and advisory services.
